So, we asked around, crunched some numbers, and the data is in… your next concert absolutely has to be Bowling For Soup! If you aren’t already aware, Bowling For Soup are a three piece pop-punk band, hailing from the great State of Texas. They began gaining notoriety in the music scene in the early 2000s, with the release of their 3rd studio album Let’s Do It For Johnny! Things really took off for them in the UK when the Brits heard "The Bitch Song" - or should we say “saw”. With popular music channels like MTV, Scuzz, and P-Rock playing the song and its comedic video repeatedly.
It was pretty clear from the start that Bowling For Soup do not take themselves too seriously. Jaret himself admitted “we literally bought joke books!” when discussing the early evolution of their live shows. Whether they still have the joke books or not, we’re yet to find out, but Julia from Spokane says the single most memorable thing from the show was “how many jokes are [sic] in between each set.”

Bowling For Soup is a funny band. There’s no denying that, Jaret will never pass up an opportunity for a good ‘bit’, and the incredible relationship between the three band members really shines through during a live show. Beyond this, they are rapidly cementing their legendary status within pop-punk. You might not think you know them, but you know “1985”, “Girl All The Bad Guys Want”, and “Today Is Gonna Be A Great Day” (Phineas and Ferb theme song), to name a few of their many hits.

So not only are their live shows full of absolute pop-punk bangers, the majority of people say that seeing them live is much better than listening to the album. Everyone else? They said it’s equally as amazing.
We asked people what was the most memorable part of the set, and a recurring answer was quite simply, “Turbulence”. A heavy hitting song about getting through difficult times. With fans being grateful for “Jaret’s ability to advocate for Mental Health”, and “that they took time to talk about something so important.”

This may come as a surprise, but we have even more reasons why Bowling For Soup should be your next concert... Beyond the bangers, the hilarity, and the gift of punching you right in your feels in the middle of a show. And despite the cussing and fart jokes, Bowling For Soup in an incredibly all ages show.
“Seeing my 9 year old son at the front of his very first gig jumping up and down, and dancing, and laughing non-stop with the biggest smile on his face! I couldn’t count the amount [sic] of times he turned to look at me and his Dad and mouthed ‘Wow!’. BFS blew him away that night and now the bar is set for future gigs!” recalls Shannon from the Eden Sessions show in Cornwall, UK.
Bowling For Soup shows bring out entire generations of pop-punk fans. With the trend of the 'elder emo', there's a generation of adults who are now bringing their kids to shows. Having played shows at Epcot's "Eat To The Beat", and being behind the theme song of one of the greatest cartoons of all time (It's Phineas And Ferb, in case you missed that), it's no wonder there are so many young fans. You will never feel too old, or too young in the crowd.
Here's what some of the fans, old and new had to say about their experiences of a Bowling For Soup show;
"I really enjoyed the way y'all engaged with the audience. Acted like we all knew each other personally. It felt like home. The way you sang, performed, and everything. You can tell being on stage is truly where y’all belong and I’m so thankful I had [sic] to experience it.” Hannah, after her first time seeing the band in Los Angeles, California.
“I don’t think I could pick just one [memorable moment], the entire experience is unforgettable. I’ve seen them 10+ times and each time is just as amazing as the first.” - Matty, Dundalk, MD.
“Honestly, every time I see BFS it’s non-stop entertainment from start to finish. Best live band ever!!” Laura, Lincoln, UK.
“The regular intermissions to connect with the audience. It really makes it feel like a unique experience!” Haze, Oak Harbor, WA.
So, that’s why your next live concert should be Bowling For Soup. The good news? They have two upcoming Fall tours in the US! Get your tickets now, because “experiencing seeing them would be one of the best decisions you could make” - Julia, WA.

Good thing then that my next concert IS Bowling For Soup!!! See you at First Avenue!
