Getting ready for tour with our friends rosecoloredworld and Ballyhoo!

We asked Rosecoloredworld and Ballyhoo! the important questions ahead of the second leg of our Hey! Let’s Be Friends Tour.

We’re hitting the road again for the second part of our Let’s Be Friends Tour with two bands we’re super excited to have along for the ride: Rosecoloredworld and Ballyhoo!
So, before we do, we thought we’d ask them both a few questions…
FIRST THINGS FIRST: HOW DID WE MEET?
ADDISON, rosecoloredworld:
“We met at a pre-Warped Tour party an hour before Jaret came on stage with us and sang ‘1985’. What a moment.”
Ballyhoo!’s story is slightly different.
Because, technically…
They hadn't met us yet.
As of August 2026, Ballyhoo! and Bowling For Soup had what can only be described as a strictly digital relationship.
Frontman Howi shares,
“Jaret started liking our stuff on Instagram when we were in the studio with John Feldman earlier this year. And I thought that was pretty cool. So I DM'd Jaret, saying something like… ‘Hey dude, I got some song ideas, if you ever want to write something together.’”
And then, about a week later, they got offered the tour.
“That just doesn't happen.”
Seemingly, it does.
THE MOMENT THEY FOUND OUT
We asked the bands what their reaction was when they were first asked to do the tour.
The “holy crap, this is actually happening” moment.
For Rosecoloredworld, the reaction was beautifully simple.
RAE:
“Cried and then called my mom.”
Perfect.
Ballyhoo! apparently played things a bit cooler:
“I was ecstatic. I was like, ‘This is fucking rad.’”
And honestly, we get it.
Ballyhoo! talked about growing up in the Y2K era, calling it the time when “we all peaked” and describing the current resurgence of pop-punk and rock as a little renaissance.
They’re excited to be part of it — and we're excited to have them.

BANDS COVERING EACH OTHER IS HUGE RIGHT NOW
If the three bands came together to record a cover song, what should it be?
Rosecoloredworld immediately had two suggestions.
ADDISON: “The Anthem” – Good Charlotte.
RAE: “You Get What You Give” – New Radicals.
Meanwhile, Ballyhoo! clearly had the same idea, suggesting a “pop-punk beach rock version of a Good Charlotte song…"The Anthem" or "Lifestyles"”
Clearly, the Let’s Be Friends Tour needs a Good Charlotte cover.
THE NON-MUSICAL ACTIVITY WE HAVE TO DO ON TOUR TOGETHER
We asked both bands what we absolutely had to do together on the road to officially become best friends.
Rosecoloredworld had an answer.
ADDISON:
“Share a post-show meal at Waffle House.”
Reasonable.
Then Rae answered.
RAE:
“Do anything but eat at Waffle House again.”
Oh.
Ballyhoo!’s Howi, however, hit us with this.
“Does anybody like Resident Evil in the band? Because I will bond hard over Resident Evil.”
We like video games… Maybe we could get them to join us for a virtual game of pre-show golf.

WHAT SONG IS YOUR “ICEBREAKER” FOR NEW FANS?
Rosecoloredworld have already got you covered with what to add to your Spotify playlist immediately.
“‘Hanging On (By a Thread)’ for sure. It went viral last summer and changed our freaking lives.”
And Ballyhoo! have been thinking about this one.
They want to bring a mixture of the hits and some of the newer material from their Bad Summer record.
“Blood Money would be a great one”
They also plan to bring some pop-reggae fun with “Blaze This Weed.”
And then there's their beach-rock version of Blink-182's “Dammit”, which they say has become one of their most popular songs. Go check them out!
WE GAVE THEM CONTROL OF OUR SETLIST…
We asked both bands what our setlist would look like if it were down to them.
Rosecoloredworld put together a pretty solid lineup!
They proposed:
Almost
Punk Rock 101
Girl All the Bad Guys Want
Stacy’s Mom
The Last Rock Show
Shut Up and Smile
Today Is Gonna Be a Great Day (Phineas and Ferb Theme Song)
High School Never Ends
1985
“Then perhaps another cover if the crowd is rowdy”
Ballyhoo! went for the hits too:
“We're doing ‘1985’. ‘Girl All the Bad Guys Want’. ‘Stacy's Mom’ cover. That's a fun one. ‘Punk Rock 101’, definitely, like, that's a ripper. You gotta play that one for sure. ‘High School Never Ends’ is fucking an anthem.”
Some chance our friends know us pretty well.
THE POST-SHOW FOOD BATTLE
If you had to eat one thing after every show for an entire tour, what would it be?
Rosecoloredworld couldn't agree.
ADDISON:
“Chipotle is the safest option.”
RAE:
“I could probably eat Thai food every day.”
Ballyhoo! already know their order.
“Wawa. Late-night hoagies with like the giant iced tea. The 64 ounce iced tea.”
Otherwise? Pizza.
Because, as Ballyhoo! correctly points out:
“Post-show pizza is the best.”
We can't argue with the facts.

SO… ARE WE FRIENDS YET?
Ballyhoo! summed it up pretty perfectly:
“We hope to bro down and friend really hard.”
So do we.
We’re gonna eat pizza, drink iced tea, and play games. Then we’ll all play some hits and maybe a few covers? Sounds freaking rad.
The Let’s Be Friends tour part 2 kicks off on 11/5 in Houston, TX. If you still haven’t gotten tickets, you probably should head here and do that.
If it’s your first time at a Bowling For Soup show, here’s a rundown of what to expect! And if you’re still on the fence, here’s what fans have to say about the experience.
