Just saying the title, Let's Do It For Johnny takes me back to such an insane time in life. We were about 5 years into being a band. We signed a record deal. But all of us either lived place to place, or had 5-6 roommates.
We didn’t make any money still. Everything always went straight back to the band for something. Or into the van to get us to the next place. But man, were we having the time of our life. Shows were small out side of Texas. But we loved each other and played our hearts out every night.
I’ve told the story of “The Bitch Song” many times. The song got us this record deal, launched us in the UK and honestly made our dreams come true. Happy 23rd Birthday to an album that might not be everyone’s favorite Bowling For Soup album, but arguably our most IMPORTANT album!
